Point System for Player of the Year Beginning 2010
Point period: Points for player of the year start with the prior year Two Man Scramble and end with the last tournament prior to the Two Man Scramble of the Current Year.
Each YCAGA Tournament Entered & Played = 20 points
Match Play Championship (Amateur Division Only): Point breakdown: 64 player field: 1st place -= 225 2nd = 180 3rd = 170 4th = 160 5th -8th = 85 9th - 16th = 40. 32 player field: 1st place -= 225 2nd = 180 3rd = 170 4th = 160 5th -8th = 80.
Spring Better Ball (Gross Division Only): 1st place = 175 points, 2nd place = 125 points, 3rd = 120 points 4th = 115 points and so on down to 35 points. However, these points will be split with your partner. In the event of a tie the points will be combined and split. Example of a tie: Let’s assume that two teams tie for 2nd place, the points will be distributed as follows (125 points for 2nd + 120 points for 3rd = 245 divided by the two teams = 122.5 per team or 61.25 per player).
Interclub: 1st place = 175 points, 2nd place = 125 points, 3rd = 120 points 4th = 115 points and so on down to 35 points. In the event of a tie the points will be combined and split. Example of a tie: Let’s assume that two players tie for 2nd place, the points will be distributed as follows (125 points for 2nd + 120 points for 3rd = 245 divided by the two players = 122.5 for each player).
Amateur: 1st place = 275 points, 2nd place = 225 points, 3rd = 215 points 4th = 205 points, 5th 195 with 10 point differentials through 20th = 45 points. In the event of a tie the points will be combined and split. Example of a tie: Let’s assume that two players tie for 2nd place, the points will be distributed as follows (225 points for 2nd + 215 points for 3rd = 440 divided by the two players = 220 for each player).
