Point System for Player of the Year
Beginning 2010

  • Point period: Points for player of the year start with the prior year Two Man Scramble and end with the last tournament prior to the Two Man Scramble of the Current Year. 
  •  
  • Each YCAGA Tournament Entered & Played = 20 points
  •  
  • Match Play Championship (Amateur Division Only): Point breakdown: 64 player field: 1st place -= 225  2nd = 180 3rd = 170  4th = 160  5th -8th = 85  9th - 16th = 40.   32 player field:  1st place -= 225  2nd = 180 3rd = 170  4th = 160  5th -8th = 80.
  •  
  • Spring Better Ball (Gross Division Only): 1st place = 175 points, 2nd place = 125 points, 3rd = 120 points 4th = 115 points and so on down to 35 points.  However, these points will be split with your partner.  In the event of a tie the points will be combined and split.  Example of a tie: Let’s assume that two teams tie for 2nd place, the points will be distributed as follows (125 points for 2nd + 120 points for 3rd = 245 divided by the two teams = 122.5 per team or 61.25 per player).
  • Interclub: 1st place = 175 points, 2nd place = 125 points, 3rd = 120 points 4th = 115 points and so on down to 35 points.  In the event of a tie the points will be combined and split. Example of a tie:  Let’s assume that two players tie for 2nd place, the points will be distributed as follows (125 points for 2nd + 120 points for 3rd = 245 divided by the two players = 122.5 for each player).
  • Amateur: 1st place = 275 points, 2nd place = 225 points, 3rd = 215 points 4th = 205 points, 5th 195 with 10 point differentials through 20th = 45 points. In the event of a tie the points will be combined and split. Example of a tie: Let’s assume that two players tie for 2nd place, the points will be distributed as follows (225 points for 2nd + 215 points for 3rd = 440 divided by the two players = 220 for each player).

  • Mid- Amateur (Gross Division Only): 1st place = 175 points, 2nd place = 125 points, 3rd = 120 points 4th = 115 points and so on down to 35 points.  In the event of a tie the points will be combined and split. Example of a tie: Let’s assume that two players tie for 2nd place, the points will be distributed as follows (125 points for 2nd + 120 points for 3rd = 245 divided by the two players = 122.5 for each player).
